Discover St Dominic’s micro-brewery, located within Blackfriars Restaurant, a Dominican friary in Newcastle dating back to 1239. The brewery is housed in the Chapter House where the friars once gathered for readings, discussions, daily tasks and community matters. After King Henry VIII expelled the friars in 1536, the space became the meeting room for the Bakers and Brewer’s Guild. Blackfriars has proudly revived this tradition, blending centuries of history with modern craft brewing techniques.
Enjoy an exclusive tour of St Dominic’s Brewery, learning about its rich history and the craft brewing process together with a 3-course set lunch in the restaurant, paired with a flight of our beers and coffee.
