Event Description

Explore a comforting and rich bakery tradition from Eastern Europe. Polish bakery offers centuries of unique craft and influence from various styles of European bakery. Expect hearty flavours of vanilla, eggs and dairy combined with intriguing spices such as poppy seed and citrus peel. You will conquer various bakery techniques such as breadmaking, pastry-making and perfecting a crème patisserie. All the better, you will be able to enjoy some of your creations during your class and take your Polish bakery hamper home to share with your loved ones.

EXPECT RECIPES LIKE:
+ Traditional Pastries: Chocolate Rugelach Biscuits
+ Traditional Braided Breads: Challah
+ Yeasted Cakes: Seasonal Fruit Crumblecake (Ciasto Drozdzowe)
+ Dairy Desserts: Mountain Custard Slice with Vanilla Pastry Cream (Karpatka)

WHERE: Blackfriars Cookery School

TIMES: 9.30am to 4.30pm

COST: £160 per person which includes refreshments throughout the day, a communal lunch with wine and coffee in the Cookery School, apron and recipes to take home. Payment upon booking. Places are only confirmed once paid in full and are non-refundable or transferable.

WHAT TO WEAR: Aprons are provided though please arrive in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit messy.
