Considered an ancestor of traditional American soul food – think jambalaya or gumbo – Nigerian cuisine offers a bright and colourful selection of meat and vegetable dishes that tantalise your senses. Nigerians are known for their love of parties and gatherings, thus Nigerian dishes are designed to celebrate life! On this session our chef will introduce you to some authentic Nigerian ingredients and cookery techniques so you can celebrate the iconic culinary gems of Nigeria and West African cookery right at home!

Our lively morning cookery sessions give you a taste of your chosen subject under the tutelage of our experienced cookery school teacher. The sessions are suitable for beginner cooks and are led by our friendly chef tutors. The class has been designed to increase your home cooking skills, experience and confidence.

WHERE: Blackfriars Cookery School

TIMES: 10am-1pm

COST: £75 per person per session which includes all your food produce and meal to take home or eat in, simple refreshments during the class and a glass of wine to enjoy with your food. Places are only confirmed once paid in full and are non-refundable or transferable.

WHAT TO BRING: Aprons can be borrowed though please arrive in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit messy. And bring your enthusiasm!
