Blackfriars’ ornate medieval Banquet Hall was the celebrated venue used by King Edward III to receive royal Scot, Edward Balliol, in 1334 and boasts authentic and bespoke banners, chandeliers, wall coverings, stained-glass windows, reclaimed wooden screens, large oak dining tables and matching chairs, all created by local craftsmen.
The hall, which also has its own kitchens, bar and toilet, accommodates up to 50 guests on communal tables and is the perfect venue for corporate events, networking groups, functions, wine dinners, educational visits, private parties, anniversaries and weddings. It also hosts a series of very popular medieval banquets.
