BEER AND FOOD MATCHING DINNER – 28 JUNE 2024

Join us for our popular annual beer and food matching extravaganza hosted by our very own head brewer, Benjamin Hall, who will be showcasing some of his recent creations from Blackfriars’ just-launched micro-brewery as well as a select few from our local favourites.

There has been a revolution in craft beers over the last few decades, with some of the best examples brewed right here on our doorstep. This January, we launched our very own micro-brewery in Blackfriars’ Chapter House, a building once used as the Bakers & Brewers Guild meeting room. Brewing ale would have been a daily occupation for the medieval friars – as common as bread-making. Continuing the narrative, we are now crafting our own ales with refreshing pilsners, robust stouts, and ales authentic to our Dominican origins.

Our host for the evening, Benjamin, a former Chef at Blackfriars and a beer enthusiast who has been making home-brews since 2020, will introduce each beer with five expertly paired seasonal courses.

COST: £75 including five courses with a matching beer at each course, and coffee. Places are only confirmed once paid in full and are non-refundable or transferable
