Beer and bread go hand-in-hand which makes sense given they share virtually identical chemical processes. Enjoy a full-on day of bread making using byproducts of St Dominic’s Brewery to make some amazingly lovely beery bakes including beer barm sourdough, rye bread, red beer spelt bread and hoppy ale soda bread! We follow the ethos of ‘Proper Bread’ using locally-milled stone-ground flours and sourdough starters to produce four or five wonderfully delicious and nutritious loaves. All dough is kneaded by hand. A basic knowledge will help but is not essential. These courses are relaxed, informative and fun.
