France is renowned for its patisserie; you only have to look in any Parisian bakery to see some of the worlds most recognized sweet treats. This workshop will show the skills to make your own French bakery window, how to make pastries such as Profiteroles and Meringue pie amongst others. Come a spend a fun day with like-minded people wanting to improve their skills. Each student will have their own work station, equipment and ingredients to work with.
SKILLS YOU CAN EXPECT –
Normandy Bostock, skill – frangipane
Lemon meringue pie, skill – sweet pate, lemon curd, Italian meringue
Profiteroles, skill – choux pastry, creme patisserie, salted caramel, chocolate glaze
Puff pastry, skill – laminated dough, parmiers.

WHERE: Blackfriars Cookery School
TIMES: 9.30am to 4.30pm
COST: £175 per person which includes refreshments throughout the day, a set three course communal lunch (including vegetarian option) with wine in the Cookery School, your own apron, breads and recipes to take home. Places are only confirmed once paid in full and are non-refundable or transferable.
WHAT TO WEAR: Aprons are provided though please arrive in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit messy.
