Blackfriars Restaurant Named Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Winner 2026
We’re delighted to announce that we have been named a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice 2026 winner.
The award recognises restaurants that consistently receive strong reviews from travellers, with Travellers’ Choice awarded to businesses ranked among the top 10% of listings on Tripadvisor. The awards are based on reviews and ratings collected from travellers over a 12-month period.

Set within Newcastle’s historic 13th-century Blackfriars complex, our restaurant occupies what was once the refectory of a Dominican friary. Today, guests can enjoy seasonal British food in one of the city’s most distinctive historic settings, alongside our Parlour Bar, Cookery School, Tasting Room, Banquet Hall and Cloister Garden.
