Christmas Day wouldn’t be the same without a traditional Christmas cake to round off your festive meal. Join us and create your very own 6” Christmas cake from scratch where we’ll be using a variety of dried fruits soaked in alcohol like brandy, rum, whisky, or sherry to bring out the rich flavours.
This Christmas Day bake has roots right back to the Middle Ages when dried fruits became more accessible. By the 18th-century, fruitcakes were only made for special occasions like weddings and Christmas due to the high cost of ingredients.
During this workshop, you’ll not only bake a cake but also learn creative variations and twists to personalise your Christmas cake. Plus, you’ll get to decorate a pre-made fruitcake base with icing, leaving the event with two beautifully crafted fruit Christmas cakes and a new skill just in time for the big day!
For home cooks who want to explore something new. Our cookery classes are relaxed, informative and fun and are specially designed by our teaching chefs to give you skills and confidence in the kitchen.

TIMES: 10am-2pm
COST: £120 per person per session which includes all your food produce and meal to take home or eat in, simple refreshments during the class and a glass of wine to enjoy with your food. Places are only confirmed once paid in full and are non-refundable or transferable.
WHAT TO BRING: Aprons can be borrowed though please arrive in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit messy. And bring your enthusiasm!
